Let’s start our virtual tour with some information about our region Le Marche, an undiscovered pearl in Italy.
Our region has been defined ‘Italy in one region’ as it offers lovely and varied landscapes, a lot of history, art and culture across a relatively small area.
Le Marche’s eastern edge is a long line of sandy beaches, with many lovely seaside towns and the stunning Conero peninsula, with its Regional Park and crystal-clear waters at Sirolo and Numana.
Toward the internal side of the region you might feel as if you are entering a beautiful landscape painting, with its green and gold hills, well-kept towns and ancient hilltop villages.
Orchards and vineyards as far as the eye can see cover the hills of Piceno and extend through the Esino Valley; they surround farmhouses that offer the hospitality and genuine tastes of times past. Manor houses or old sharecroppers’ farms, now used as agritourisms, tell of a way of life no longer seen.
The western border has mountain range with the Sibillini mountain at the south, and it’s the ideal place for hikers, botanists and nature lovers with many wonderful hiking routes.
The Sibillini National Park comprises the most elevated mountainous group in the Umbro-Marchigiano Apennines. Its highest peak, Monte Vettore, reaches 8,132 ft above sea level.
The region and the Sibillini area in particular, preserves untamed nature, ancient traditions and good food. The region enjoys great weather, glorious geography and a high quality of life.
The best way to reach the south of the Region is to arrive at Ancona-Falconara airport or at Pescara airport, rent a car and drive along the coast road. The main road system is the A14 motorway, which links up to state and regional highways to reach the typical villages and inland towns.
This is a gorgeous and affordable region to explore, so… we are waiting to welcome you!
